Launch of the Loreto Student Reflection in Primary and Post-primary schools during Mary Ward Week 2015

Reflection is a central part of the Loreto tradition and is a practice that we encourage our students to engage in.

The Loreto Student Reflection is a simple tool that can be used by students, in primary and post-primary schools, to reflect on their day. The guidelines may be helpful for a teacher to lead their students in the reflection, so that they will learn how to use it.

Reflection helps us to think about our actions, the choices we make, how we treat others.   It helps us to acknowledge the good things that happen in our daily lives, to think about what could have been better. It also allows us to think about the feelings that emerge from our own actions, our experiences and what we see others do …… feelings of happiness, joy anxiety, worry, guilt, anger, hurt, contentment, joy.
