Mary Ward Competition

Artistic Expressions of Mary Ward 2017

To celebrate Mary Ward Week in 2017, students were invited to send in artistic expressions of Mary Ward’s values.

Dear Everyone

Thank you for encouraging your students to take part in the Artistic Expressions of Mary Ward Festival.  Over 600 students sent in a wonderful variety of music, visual art and creative writing.  Everyone is a winner in this event and each entry receives a Certificate of Participation. 

The adjudicators were delighted with the entries and the results are as follows:

Senior Primary Schools

Ms Coffey’s 6th Class, Loreto Primary School, Grange Road – 1st  Prize

Caroline Burke, 3rd Class, Loreto Junior School, St. Stephen’s Green – Specially Commended

Junior Primary Schools

Ms Doyle’s 2nd Class, Loreto Primary School, Grange Road – 1st Prize

Senior Secondary Schools

Róisin Mullins – Loreto College, Clonmel – 1st Prize


Junior Secondary Schools

Andrea David, Loreto College, Crumlin – 1st Prize
